CASTE-"The Ruler Of India"!!
Will casteism disappear in the future?
Are people ready to change their mindset?
It is Unbelievable and Surprising to know that humans are divided on their caste even in 21st century but it is the sad fact of the society in India. I Personally witnessed the discrimination of caste specially to the people who Belongs to lower caste by upper caste people. I have seen and seeing even now scheduled caste are not allowed to go to temple, not allowed to get inside of higher caste people house, are not allowed to take part in any of the functions celebrated by villagers like higher caste people, are also kept outside the village where separate place is given to them, higher caste people even feel hesitated to touch them and many more things as such.
And I would like to share the cruelty of this society sometimes people are ready to kill their children because of their caste. A girl belongs to higher caste married a boy who belongs to lower caste , her parents don't accept even though she is happy just because of caste and they don’t even talk to her for the whole life.
This might seem surprising against the new narrative India is writing. So much has changed, millions of people have been lifted out of poverty. The Indian economy is now one of the world's biggest. Everywhere in the country, there are new roads, new airports, new infrastructure. But in many places, especially in poorer rural areas, caste infrastructure is still the one that counts. And those who rebel against it, are often greeted with unchecked brutality. It is violence intended to send message, pain inflicted to maintain India's old social order. The crimes are happening across the country and Dalits are killed: They are humiliated, tortured, disfigured, destroyed.
Ill Effects of Caste System :
- It hindered national unity.
- It stood against democracy.
- It created a false sense of prestige among higher caste.
- No freedom to live their lives happily.
- It resulted in religious conversion.
- It also gave raise to murders and etc…
Will casteism disappaer In The Future?
In 1948, negative discrimination on the basis of caste was banned by law and further enshrined in the Indian constitution however the system continues to be practiced in parts of India. It is deep rooted in the minds of people in the society, the caste system never fades in the minds of people who think it as prestige. It has comparatively changed but I doubt that it can never come to an end.
For decades ,India has struggled to de-weaponize caste. When the constitution was being written in the late 1940’s,intellectuals knew caste was sore spot that needed to be urgently addressed. They included specific protection for Dalits, who makeup about 15to 20percentage of India’s 1.3billion people. Affirmative actions programs ,though they have generated deep resentments among upper castes, have helped some Dalits escape poverty. Today there are Dalit poet, doctors civil service officers etc.. But 95%of Indians still marry within their caste, and only 5%of Indians have married inter caste, experts says. Recent studies shows income and education levels correlate closely with the caste. Even controlling for education, Dalits still fall behind, indicating that Caste discrimination is alive and well in the world place.
I’m against caste system, which is absolutely not fair to treat them unequal. I feel everyone are equal in this world and in India we also have Right to equality. My question is that if people are discriminating then why don't care caste to save their lives why do they do so when allowing them inside house or temple.. Until and unless the discrimination on caste, language, exits there will be no development in India.

Suggestions to put an end to caste system are :
- Encouraging inter caste marriage
- Inter-dining between caste
So, we can say caste is the ruler od India eve today
