NEXATHON’25
Congratulations to our 5th Semester CSE students Abhishek, Bharat, Abdul, and Nithilan Jaykumar for securing the 2nd Prize with a cash award of ₹15,000 in NEXATHON’25, hosted by Dr. T. Thimmaiah Institute of Technology. A total of 30 teams participated in the event, and our students achieved an impressive 2nd place.
The students developed a Real-Time AI Classroom Engagement System, which uses HD cameras, Computer Vision, and AI-based models to monitor classroom engagement in real time. The system detects drowsiness, distraction, yawning, and hand-raising, and provides immediate alerts to the faculty along with detailed analytical reports. The solution is built using MediaPipe, OpenCV, TensorFlow, and a React.js dashboard, offering an innovative tool to enhance classroom attentiveness and support better academic outcomes.
This achievement highlights the technical skills and innovative capabilities of our students and brings great recognition to the college.
