A Report on Free Medical Checkup Camp under FIT-Indian Program

A free medical health checkup camp for both teaching and non-teaching staff, as well as the students, was organized on the 26th and 27th of September 2019 by the Gopalan College of Engineering and Management in collaboration with the Vydehi Institute of Medical Science and Research Centre, Bangalore. Dr. Ravi Babu Koppala, Chief Administrative Officer at Vydehi Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre had sent a team of doctors to organize a free health checkup camp in GCEM under the Fit India Movement by the Govt. of India. The team of doctors included two general medicine, two OBG, one ENT, one Dentist, one Gynecologist, and one Psychiatrist.


The Principal of GCEM Dr. N. Sengottaiyan along with Dr. Ramya, Dr. Akash, and Dr. Tabreez discussed the various health issues and how can we get over them.

The following tests were conducted in this health checkup

Approximately 500 members including faculty members, non-teaching staff, and students from all the branches came for the health checkup. Doctors advised them various medicines and consultations during the camp.

The camp was successfully organized under the guidance of Principal Dr. N. Sengottaiyan.

The camp was coordinated by Mr. D Sreenivasa Reddy, Associated Professor, Mechanical Department, Mr. Rajesh TR Assistant Professor, Mechanical Department, and Mr. Asif Assistant Professor, Civil Department along with the NSS student volunteers.
