Gopalan School of Architecture and Planning is dedicated to providing an excellent educational experience for students intending to enter the profession of architecture. The primary mission of the school and its programs is to provide a curriculum and educational context that teaches the students how to be responsive to human needs and create a better environment. We aim at training our students to create/innovate outstanding designs while continuing to learn throughout their lives. The most important facet of this educational mission is to instill in our students a strong social consciousness and a desire to be active participants in improving the quality of their communities.
The architecture program is intended to foster the intellectual growth and development of students as well as the faculty, to develop new knowledge that will materially add to the discipline of architecture and to the society as a whole.
On an average, we enroll about 80 students a year from all corners of India in an array of courses ranging from Renaissance architecture to modern architecture, the cities of tomorrow, digital fabrication, motion graphics, shape grammars, photography, and construction finance.
The unifying theme of all our activities is design. Through the design of physical spaces, policies, and technologies that tell us how those spaces are used, we aim to sustain and enhance the quality of the human environment at all scales.
