Objective:

The objective of the exposure visit was to provide students with hands-on exposure to advanced manufacturing technologies, innovation ecosystems, and intellectual property awareness. The program aimed to align with IIC focus areas by fostering innovation, encouraging product development, creating awareness about prototyping tools, and motivating students toward research, entrepreneurship, and start-up culture.

Summary:

The Department of Aeronautical Engineering organized an exposure visit to the AICTE IDEA Lab at REVA University on 27 February 2026. Students were introduced to advanced prototyping facilities such as industrial-grade 3D printers and laser cutting machines. An interactive session on Intellectual Property Rights highlighted the importance of patents, copyrights, and design protection. The visit also included interaction with innovation lab facilities and aerospace laboratory demonstrations, providing a holistic understanding of how theoretical knowledge is translated into practical applications.
