The National Award from the Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi, for the year 2025.

Venugopal V.G., a Bangalore-based visual artist and faculty member at Gopalan School of Architecture and Planning, has been honored with the National Award from the Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi, for the year 2025.

The prestigious award was presented during a formal ceremony held at the Dr. Ambedkar International Centre on 24 September 2025, where the Honorable President of India, Droupadi Murmu, conferred the award.

Venugopal V.G. is one among only 20 artists selected from across the country for this distinguished recognition, which celebrates outstanding contributions to contemporary visual arts. His achievement brings great pride to the GSAP faculty and the academic community, highlighting the institution’s commitment to excellence in art, design, and creative practice.
