Architectural Design Case Study Program
To facilitate better understanding of architecture design and its connections with various other disciplines of knowledge such as philosophy, religion , social, cultural and historical aspects, the students documented the church in the following parameters.
1. History of the Memorial Church built in 1886
2. Religious and socio-cultural significance of the church
3. Architectural measured drawings of details, and freehand sketches of plans and elevations.
4. Architectural photographic documentation of the church.
5. Live interview with pastor to understand the functionality of the church.
Outcome
The collected information will be produced as a multimedia poster and a measured drawing plate for AD submissions.
BDVA Site Visit Program
As part of observational study in BDVA, the students were asked to sketch outdoors, the interesting architectural elements of the historical church built in 1886.
The students attempted perspective views, elevations and window details for further development in various media.
Outcome
The live sketched done on site will be developed in different media such as water colour and pen and ink.
