Gopalan College of Engineering and Management organized an orientation programme for the first year B.E students on 10th September 2025. The major objective of the programme was to make the parents and students aware of the academic aspects of the course, the rules and regulations of the Institute and ensuring parental participation in monitoring the performance and progress of the students.
The first-year orientation program for the academic year 2025-26 commenced with an invocation of Lord Ganesha’s divine blessings, supported by the Gopalan management, CEO, and Principal. The inaugural session was graced by the presence of Mr. Sarada Prasad Kar, CEO future project and new initiatives, Dr. Arun Vikas Singh, Principal of GCEM, along with the Heads of Departments, placement officers, and other dignitaries. The program began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries.
Dr. Arun Vikas Singh, Principal GCEM addressed the gathering and briefed the students about the rules and regulations prescribed by Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU). He emphasized the importance of adhering to academic guidelines, discipline, and ethical conduct throughout their course of study. Furthermore, the Principal highlighted the various facilities provided by the college, such as well-equipped laboratories, a resourceful library, sports, hostel facilities. The session aimed to create awareness among the students about their responsibilities as well as the opportunities available to them for academic and personal growth.
Mr. Sarada Prasad Kar, CEO future project and new initiatives, expressed his gratitude to the Parents and students for having faith and confidence in the institution.
Mr. Dhananjay, Placement director GCEM spoke about the importance of internships and placements in shaping student’s careers and supporting their future success.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks extended to all the dignitaries on and off stage, as well as to the technical staff for their efforts in making the event a success.
