Overview: Mechanical Engineering

Department of Mechanical Engineering is established in the year 2010 and provides 4 years (8 semesters) B.E degree program that gives the students an opportunity to prepare for professional engineering practice or for entry into higher programs of study.
Mechanical Engineers are involved with the design, analysis, testing, manufacturing, control, operation, and maintenance of mechanical systems. The Mechanical Engineering Department of this institution is committed to a learner centered environment in which everyone learns, discovers and enriches themselves. Department conducted guest lecturing from eminent persons ,organised workshops, industrial visits with in the state and outside the state to enhance practice knowledge, conducting value added course like Catia , Hyper mesh for students All the faculties are involved in research activities in the areas of Mechanisms, Metallurgy. They regularly participate in technical seminars, national and international conferences, technical paper presentations and faculty development programs.
The students are taken special attention, with respect to subjects for slow learners. We get the best of VTU results with 100% success rate in many subjects. Even students are encouraged to present technical papers, participate in technical competitions, quizzes ,workshops and many other extracurricular activities.
Approvals and Recognition:
The Department of Mechanical Engineering is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and is permanently affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum in Karnataka.
